The Detroit Radio Control Car Club existed since its
founding in 1970. A non profit organization dedicated to on road racing for
southeast Michigan
racers. At its inception its founders not only had to build their own cars from
scratch, they also built a temporary track for parking lot use. Today the DRCCC
is still hosting events yearly with temporary track construction in parking
lots when not in use. Our portable facilities are capable of hosting race
events virtually anywhere. Today, the popularity of Radio Control has increased
due to widely available kits. Even today, some of our founding members are
still active, and throughout the years has fostered family activities, national
champion and world champion drivers. The DRCCC is a member of ROAR (Radio
Operated Auto Racers). ROAR provides rules for racing, access to National,
Regional, and World events. ROAR also provides liability coverage to all its
members. All members of DRCCC must be ROAR members in order to participate in
events.
